How much of my time will the project take?

As much or as little as you'd like.

To keep the process efficient, I've created a series of guided questionnaires that help uncover your business goals, audience and design preferences from the outset. This allows me to gain a clear understanding of your vision without constantly interrupting you with questions throughout the project.

From there, I'll take care of the design, layout, content refinement and technical setup, checking in with you at key milestones to ensure everything is heading in the right direction.

If you enjoy being involved, you're very welcome to collaborate throughout the process. If you'd rather leave the details to me, that's absolutely fine too. I'll tailor the experience to the level of involvement that feels right for you.

Which platforms do you work with?

I can design and build your website on a range of platforms, including Webflow, Wix, and WordPress, depending on what best suits your business.

I typically recommend Wix or Webflow for their flexibility and ability to create high-end, fully bespoke websites with excellent performance. That said, I’m always happy to work with your preferred platform or advise on the best option for your needs.

‍What about domain and hosting for my website?

‍Every website needs two essentials to stay online:

- Your domain – the address people type in to find you (like businessname.co.uk).

- Hosting – the “home” where your website files live so guests can visit 24/7.

If you don't already have a domain or hosting, I'll help you choose the most suitable option. As a guide, domains typically cost £10–£20 per year, while hosting generally ranges from £8–£30 per month, depending on the platform and your requirements.

The best place to start is with a quick conversation. Once I understand your goals and your existing setup, I'll recommend the platform, domain and hosting solution that's right for your business without paying for anything you don't need.

What if I already have a domain and website platform?

Some platforms don't support direct migration, but that's rarely a problem as I am able to design in most platforms and keep your current domain and hosting. In some cases, it may be better to recommend a different platform if it better suits your goals or is easier for you to manage. We can choose the most practical solution together.

Can I have a website without worrying about maintenance?

Absolutely. The amount of maintenance your website needs depends largely on the platform it's built on.

Some platforms, such as Wix, are designed to be low maintenance, making them ideal if you'd prefer to set your website up and simply make the occasional content update. Other platforms may require more regular technical upkeep, such as software updates, security checks or ongoing optimisation.

If keeping things simple is important to you, I'll recommend a platform that suits your needs and level of involvement.

- Prefer ad hoc support? That's absolutely fine. You can manage your website yourself and simply get in touch whenever you need a helping hand. Ad hoc work is charged at £65 per hour, and I'll always provide a clear estimate before getting started.

Not if it’s done properly. During a website redesign, I ensure your domain, hosting, and current SEO setup remain unaffected. This helps your site maintain its Google ranking, offering a quicker and more appealing design that enhances user experience. I pay close attention to redirects, meta descriptions, and analytics to maintain and boost your traffic.

‍Can I update the site myself later?‍

Yes. Text and images can be changed easily. If you’d like training or a custom guide, I can provide that too, or offer a maintenance plan as mentioned above.

‍Do I really get a risk-free website design? ‍

All you need is a few brand photos per page or couple of pages, and style preferences. 30–45 minutes for a discovery call and I’ll handle the rest.

Typically 3–5 weeks from start to finish, depending on your content and feedback speed. I’ll keep you updated every step of the way.
